I've only found one DOI quarter of ANY sort, and that was in a Vegas casino almost two months ago. CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! I just searched a box of CWRs with probably 200 Jefferson quarters in it, about evenly spread between Philly and Denver mintmarks. And yet, I've found zero July 4th quarters. Tellers I know who search coin deposits have likewise come up empty. I heard one report of someone finding two at a bank in Cincinnati, but it's tough to say how credible that rumor is. I suspect our reserve branch simply did not receive any of the marked coins despite claims of "random" distribution from the US Mint. Report this Post to the Staff
