I can't find any reference to the die gouge which I showed in the previous posting. Maybe it isn't relevant to
VAM listings?
However, I think I have maxed out the capabilities of my Nikon D60 here. First, I'll show complete obverse and reverse images which fill up a 2400+ pixel screen area of the camera (actual full-size screen dimensions are 3900x2713):

Next, I found what looks like die clashing on the obverse under the "U" in "PLURIBUS". This might be showing the 2nd "T" of "STATES" or else part of some arrows from the reverse:

There are other marks above the eagle's beak, but I haven't investigated these yet (there are great superimposed images on the VAMWorld site at
https://vamworld.com/wiki/Attributi...Die_Clashing which help to figure out what and where some clash marks may be found).
So I found a used Nikon D5200 body from a local dealer for a reasonable price which I can still use with my existing micro lens (Nikon AF-S VR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED). Once I have this, I should be able to get about 1.5x the screen resolution of these photos due to its bigger sensor. But as it turns out, the D60 isn't such a bad camera if you have a good lens and know how to use it! (thanks to @-makecents- for encouraging me to take better pictures!)
I am creating another thread on the coin photography subforum which shows my setup. Will follow up with the link since I am posting the link to this thread in that forum, so I need to create this post first.
