What do you think would be a fair value for the $5 Indian Chief? I have no idea what the value for the Victory note would be either. The only reason I sent the Victory note to be graded was because it filled the last of the 6 free submissions I had.

That $5's VG grade I'd agree with. However, I have to say that the paper color is quite good compared to other VG notes I've seen!

What does the apparent stand for. I love any $5 chiefs and yours looks like it fits the grade given.

Chiefs remain among the most popular of all US currency. Nice detail for the grade given. Normally on a VG Chief, the center fold has done terrible things to the portrait. Yours is nice, $200-$300.

The peso, despite condition, is at the other end of the spectrum. Very nice note, but popularity is near zero. $5-$10.

First signature combination too, Lyons Roberts, my personal favorite.

As far as the victory note goes:

The person I bought stuff from in the Philippines once told me that a "new" Victory note could sell for around 1000 pesos or roughly $20. He was also in a nasty habit of trying to get me to pay more for things than they were worth but I could always talk him down to the more correct range.

Can anyone else verify/contradict that? I'm interested to know how close to the mark that is.
