Yes, its gold content is 0.875.
Its a beautiful transition piece. Although its a Charles IV coin, the effigy is actually Charles III. Yours is a particular variety since they normally have a dot before Auspice. Also in 1790 most have overdate 90/89. Its worth about 2000 bucks.
