My wife saw these at a flea market for cheap and got them for me since she knows I like Japan. She said the dealer didn't know anything about them. I have limited knowledge of Japanese coins, so all I've been able to make out is that I think they are pre-Meji era. any help would be appreciated.

Sorry. but I can't see anything on these pictures- either out of focus or unclear lighting, or both.

Welcome to the forum, bioforce!
Sorry to disappoint you, but your coins appear to be Chinese cash coins.
The reverse of a Japanese mon would have just lines, like this

Chinese coins bear Manchu script identification of the mint.
The first coin is struck for Hsuan Tsung, 1821 - 1851, by the board of revenue in Peking.
I'd like to see better pics of the other two to correctly ID them.

The second coin is in the name of Emperor Kao Tsung, 1736 - 1795, but I cannot see the mint.

The third coin (it's upside down) was struck in the name of Te Tsung (or Kuang-Hsu), 1875 - 1908.

Thanks for the help:) Shame there not Japanese, but still interesting that they're old.

I'll try to post better pictures over the weekend if you would still like them.

Sure, then I could tell you the mints/provinces they came from. By the way, I used (by habit) the term "struck". Most of Chinese cash coins (all older ones) were cast.
