Has anyone found any Misaligned $2's while searching straps? Most are minor and from series 1976.

The reason I ask is that I now have A,B,K and H of the districts including a H and D stars.

May be I can get a district set of errors together as I have extra's of some districts.

The errors are either with the Sn OR treasury Seal shifted Up OR Down.Pics below.

Thanks

I have a few that look to have been cut wrong, but nothing as dramatic as what you posted.

I think a Graded district error set would be very cool indeed. And no, I have never found any two's like those.

The Dallas fed (K) that I posted was purchased locally as the price was rather cheap (it's graded 64 or 65). I do have another which I found.

Sometimes these show up and the prices vary widely ($50 to $300) and the ones I have found range in grade and most are in the AU range (no folds). I have let go 2 or so really beat up ones which had rips, stains etc. I am hoping that there are others to trade some of the extras as I really do not want to pay up to get the other districts.

As long as the numbers are NOT 99xx xxxx then it's a miscut from the BEP. Some consider them errors as the either the back or front is NOT centered but the other side is. Not much of a premium and is rather common.

However, every time I see one of those I look at both sides to see if there is a portion of the second note showing and have not found anything so far.

There are plenty out there and just keep looking.

Someone had asked at which point these are considered "errors".

Below are 2 examples that "barely" make it into the error camp (minor touch of another portion of printing).

Nice finds.
I used to pull a lot of $1 notes with similar misalignments where I used to work. Didn't see many $2 notes.
Good luck on the set.
