Hello there. I've got these 3 coins from France, from what I think is the 1700, since I can't find them in my 1800-catalog.

So once again I'd like to have some help IDing these coins and what they're worth.

1 - 5 centime 8AA is about TB35 grade, and worth about $40.
2 - 1 centime L'an 6A (53/50 type) is about TB25, and worth about $10.
3 - 1792 Marseille 6 deniers is about B, and worth about $50.

Thanks a lot!

The last one is hard to read as well. Either B, E or D. If such varieties exists that is.

Thank you!

The Marseille mintmark is an M superimposed on an A. This distinguishes it from Toulouse which is a plain M.

Oh, yes that mintmark yes. I was more refering to the right side of the "6". There is supposed to be a letter there.

The third one is mintmarked M/A-- the M is on top of the A, can't do that with my keyboard!--next to the 2 in the date on the obverse. The B in thq's posting is the French grading system, and stands for "Beau", which lines up approximately with G, for Good, in US grading terms. I believe the high value on that 3rd coin stems from the mintmark, which is less common than many. The letter to the right of the reverse device should be a D.
Nice coins!
Oh and--kudos to thq for counting the edge design elements on the 1 cte. Drives me bonkers!

Now I understand that the letter missing is D, for deniers. My bad. It's getting late here in Sweden.

Thanks!

I love those southern French mints! I would have graded the 6D a little higher except for the pitting on the reverse which has obliterated the D.
