I picked up this Dutch pocket piece a few weeks ago:

For the time being, I'm assuming it's real, with a lot of seawater corrosion, but any expert advice would be appreciated. Once I get a scale I'll check weight and see if it's around the expected 32.4 grams.

Nice coin, difficult to see from a small image if it's real or not. it looks ok, but I'm not an expert.. from a VOC vessel?.

I have no idea on the origin, but it looks a lot like a seawater-damaged Spanish cob. The detail is very sharp, except where it is wiped out by the corrosion pitting. I'm guessing it should be near full coin weight if it's real. Sorry about the size. I had limited options when I reduced the file size to upload.

[edit: a similar 1711 Utrecht ridjer is currently listed on ebay, reported to be recovered from the VOC shipwreck De Liefde.]
