It looks more like it was lost recently from a collection than buried for years in the ground from circulation. Looks like it's been cleaned before too, but definitely XF+ details and one of the toughest SLQ dates to boot! Report this Post to the Staff

filo4567 New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 04/03/2011 12:28 pm Thank you all! Yes, I was thinking it was somewhere in the XF range for details but it is an absolutely beautiful coin. I was stunned to see it pop out of the ground. I'm certain it wasn't cleaned unless someone cleaned it before losing it 90 years ago. I found it in a well-hunted city park that I have found many silver coins at before but never anything this nice. It was deep enough for me to know that it had probably been there for years and wasn't a drop from someone's coin collection. Definitely the best coin I've ever found. Report this Post to the Staff
