Weakly-Struck 2001-D Kennedy: Grease-Filled Die, Or What?

Edge reeding is present although it isn't as sharp as I'd expect from a normally-struck AU coin. Thoughts? Grease-filled dies perhaps, or a die-adjustment strike, or something else? Also, it appears that the coin retains a beveled rim/edge junction, which would also be consistent with a weaker-than-normal strike. For a weak strike, the central portion of the design is strongest with weakness spreading towards the periphery. Report this Post to the Staff
