These are relatively common in high grades - slabbed MS65's go for $150-175 at Heritage, and they're one of the cheaper MS66's at about $300. I mention these grades/prices because I feel your coin to be an absolute slam-dunk MS65 with a very realistic shot at 66. It's one of the nicest '84-O's I've seen at Coin Community. Even in a scan, the obverse striations (an imperfectly-alloyed planchet, I think) strike me as just beautiful.
If you have a loupe, have a close look at the mint mark. There are a few O/O varieties for this year; maybe we can identify it.
Thanks! I was hoping for an MS grade! I paid $50 for it, and at the time thought it was a little high but since it looked so nice I paid it. Guess the seller wasn't just feeding me a line when they said that if it was slabbed it would get $150+!
