I have had a hard time getting anything but an automated answer. I don't live close to a coin shop. I need an expert's eye. I have this 1926 penny with what I am guessing is a lamination error? It has the indentation and a raised portion. I don't know much, could someone educate me. Is this coin of any significant value?

Agree that it is lamination and there is no real pricing catalog for these...but I'd bet it would bring over $25 on ebay....maybe a lot more as this is a pretty nice example

Dang it. I was hoping it would be worth around $127,000 like the one I saw on ebay, ha ha ha. Thanks for confirming my suspicions!

Well, you can ask $125,000 for it. We'll be happy to ridicule you.

Seriously nice lamination, though, and definitely value-added for a slightly-off thinker like me.
