I was given this coin as change at a 7-11. A normal 'tails' one side and the opposite 'head' has a vague outline of the head with a round bulging divot in the center, with what appears to be a tinge of copper around the divot. Do I have something here? Help

Unfortunately, your coin has been the victim of a machine shop tragedy. Someone lathed the face of the coin and removed a significant amount of metal which also exposed the copper core.
