I bought these for $10 US because I thought they looked neat. The seller said they were French galvanoes used for making hubs for dies. Now I just want to know what they are, for sure, so I can try to find out more information on them.

They are very thin. Not sure of the composition.

The reverse photos are a little blurred, but I would say that the metal pins protruding from the rear suggest that they were originally attached to something else. Also and there seems to be some edge damage, that possibly suggests they have been pried off.

Objectively I would guess they are possibly plaques or badges which have been removed from another object.

An interesting set, nonetheless.
