Picked this up for $20. How would you grade it?

SMS MS64RD

Too many hits on the face (cheek) for a 65, IMO.

MS65. If some of the mark are one the slab I could see it being 66

So much for grading skills on Lincolns.

No disrespect, but I thought that ANY hit on the face was a disqualifier for a 65+ grade.

Absolutely not, the fields are the priority. If there was a hit in the obverse fields, it could be precluded from a 66 or up grade but minor device hits will not drop a grade. You also have to realize that NGC and PCGS grade mostly on luster, then they look for hits and spots. It's all about luster!

Oh, and you absolutely STOLE that coin for $20. It's a $100-150 coin all day long.

Yeah, I got it from a Heritage auction. They mistakenly listed it as MS67.
