How would you grade this note? Fortunately it's not my note. It is for sale on ebay and apparently was eaten by a cockroach. It was a gVF Star Note and had a CV of $15,000 but now they are trying to sell it for $300. I really feel for the person this happened to (they would have been devastated) but I guess it is a lesson to us all to be careful how we store our notes and coins

I would grade it roached If that were my note though, I would be crying. That is a loss of $14,700 plus or minus. Ouch!

Just think, if they had sold the note they could have hired Orkin, a maid, and taken a cruise while the work was being done.

Why on earth would you invest in a high value note like this and not look after it correctly. It makes me angry to see part of our heritage destroyed like this.

I reckon some of the ones I've seen in north Queensland probably would.

I wouldn't grade it!
I think the roach may have a belly ache. There some interesting chemicals in the inks used in note printing. Yum!
IMO, the correct way to store notes is in a mylar sleeve, same way as valuable stamps.

That is tragic. I have to agree with the previous poster, why in the world was such a high value item not stored more securely.

A good lesson for everyone - if you have a banknote worth $15,000 invest in a safe or at least a bank box.
