cptbilly, that's a gorgeous coin! Here's my Franklin bulk bin pick from this morning. Marve65, thank you, the bins aren't typically this nice, I'm feeling lucky.

Thank you, Marve. Less examples available for sale vs. Type 2's. In 1956, approximately 10% of the 669,384 proof coins struck were done so with the Type 1 design (according to Kevin Flynn's The Authoritative Reference on Franklin half Dollars, published in 2012). Flynn's book shows an NGC Certified PF67 Population of 324; NGC Coin Explorer data from August 2025 shows 2,467. PCGS' current population report shows 897 - compared to 330 in 2012. Thanks for the tips re: removing slab scuffs and scratches. Have seen Meguiar's PlastX Plastic Cleaner & Polish with a microfiber cloth recommended elsewhere.

Got this one just two days ago. Why, I don't know ! It looks like I will be collecting Eisenhower dollars, but first I need to finish my SBAs...

Nice Ike CoinForMe. I know the feeling, I was looking at PCGS graded Ikes but I need to finish some things before I go down that rabbit hole. Been looking for SBA's but haven't found any with the grade I want.

seamonkey5150 I'm making big mistakes, need to sit myself down and think what I'm buying... I don't like this Pig Leg Eisenhower, also a few SBA I will need to replace after buying them not too long ago. Got to go: 1981-S ICG MS66+, and the 1979-P Near Date NGC MS65 Replace with: 1981-S PCGS or NGC MS67, and a 1979-P Near Date MS66 (way MS67 over price)

Very nice Ike, CoinForMe! Here's my $10 flea market find for the week, super happy to find a loose Capped Bust! Found some other neat/odd stuff I'll post elsewhere.
