Quote: No photos, and I don't reckon any are needed. Quote: Why not? I took Criminal Justice in College and we went by evidence Or maybe you crave proof that I can't take decent coin photos! Oh well, you asked for it: But, what I really meant was that these particular coins might not deserve to have photos posted.

Very nice Vector Ze. I agree, we all like to see eye candy, doesn't matter if they are perfect pics or not.

Cool, Seamonkey. And photo quality to be envious of. I've been getting my proofs via Mint subscription, but have been playing catch-up on the business strikes. I subscribed to 2026 as they become available from an ebay seller. Maybe I'll be getting my Cray-1 soon! I remember when that was the boss computer, on magazine front pages like a celebrity, heh!

Quote: I remember when that was the boss computer, on magazine front pages like a celebrity, heh! Ah, yes. And to think, it is comparable to a 100 MHz Pentium CPU from 1994. Today's smartphone is thousands of times more powerful.

Thanks All! Vector Ze, that pic was just with my iphone, handheld with ambient room light. I just tilted the phone so there wasn't any glare and then cropped it before posting.

Quote: Today's smartphone is thousands of times more powerful. Yep! And yet, a decent desktop computer is still more powerful than the best smartphone, in terms of processing power, RAM capacity, storage, and multitasking capabilities. Naturally, the Cray-1 was not a mobile device. Not having any need to carry a computer wherever I go, I'm content with my desktop. Plus, at my age and with my deteriorating eyesight, I'll take a big monitor over a palm-sized screen. I can't even read those confounded things without a magnifying glass, LOL.

I definitely prefer to work from my laptop that is docked with two large monitors than my phone. I am always amazed at people who read and post to CCF from a phone.
