This poor Lincoln looks like he was struck through a blanket... what really happened here? I've seen entire words etc, missing, but this coin has no detail, and is missing e pluribus unim entirely. I don't expect it's worth more than a cent but I just need to know.

this looks like some form of PMD, not a Greaser, maybe an early stage Dryer Coin.

but yes, a Greaser can effect both sides of a coin.

No, its just a heavy Greaser. Slight MAD on obverse.
