the reason I saw this was because the date stood out so much with the naked eye
the doubling also is in the whole motto.

I see just Machine Doubling not DDO. When you see just an offset "shelf" like you do here it is almost always Machine Doubling. DDO coins have fully doubled devices that are full depth struck, so in cases like yours where there is little seperation the letters will just look fat, not less deep struck and a shelf. I hope that makes sense. Please someone correct me if my poor explanation is wrong.

Yeah man, I (sadly) have to agree. I get so excited when I find doubling, and even on the G in GOD, the doubling is pretty strong. The catch is, with Machine Doubling, the "second" letter is almost always much flatter than the predominant one. A doubled die will appear as two of the exact same imprint. Google the 1955 doubled die obverse.

Josh: When taking images of a doubled die, you might want to try rotating the coin so the light falls across the doubling and not directly on. Even Machine Doubling will glare if this in not followed.

Also a difuser help remove glare. This might be a facial tissue or plastic grocery bag. This prevents glare from reaching the coin.

On the 1967 cent I see no Machine Doubling. I see a completely normal 1967 cent.

We would need pics to even guess. There are two known examples on coppercoins.com. get pics and start a new post for the best response.
