Yokozuna,
Your coin is one of the best examples I have seen for a business strike. Clean, mark free fields, and as far as I can see only one minor tick on Ben's hair, I would think it should go 66 or better, nice coin.
Deltron,
Your proof 1962 is great! Mine has a visible spot on the coin but PCGS still graded it at 66. Thanks for sharing your coins.

As usual, magnificent coins from jeffrose, the toning on the 1952's especially the dime are out of this world!

jeffrose,.. Very nice! This is my favorite Franklin. It was a rescue from circulation. I think it went from a collection, to a tellers draw, to my folder.

Rewster,
Nice find on the 1958 d. I always liked 1958 dated coins (my birth year).

Quote: anybody have any bugs bunny halfs (halves)? I have one, it's not the highest grade uncirculated but hey, not a bad acquisition for the same price as an MS-60 normal 1955 half dollar. I bought a copy of A Guide Book of Franklin & Kennedy half dollars yesterday and going through it I read on the page describing the 1955 Bugs Bunny variety that there are several more dates with this same characteristic. This variety is the result of clashed dies and the other dates which exhibit the same clash marks at the lips of Old Ben are 1949, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954 P, D, & S, 1956, 1959, and 1963. According to the author some of these are quite scarce and command a premium. So, all you Franklin half collectors get out your loupes and see how many of these you can find/buy that have not been attributed by the seller at the regular half dollar price. I bought this half dollar at a coin show yesterday, it is an ICG graded MS-65 1959 with the double die reverse. I paid $44.00 for it. It's technically a Type 2/Type 1 class III "design hub doubling" double die reverse. It was a Type 1 hubbed die which was then hubbed with a Type 2 reverse. The eagle is where it's most noticeable as it has the characteristics of both types. The eagle has the Type 2 three feather tips on the left but they look like the Type 2 feathers and if you look very close with a ten power loupe you can see the lines of the four feathers between the three feather tips.
