NEVER use vinegar and salt on your coins....NEVER. Doing so will cause permanent damage.

Any black spots you have are probably carbon spots that were there from the day the coin was minted. Those cannot be removed without permanent damage to the coin. The stuff you see is verdigris that developed from improper storage. Your coins are not well protected from air and humidity. When storing folder or albums multiple layers of protection should always be used. For example, put the folder into a ziplock bag, put that into a bigger ziplock and then put the whole thing into a tupperware type container.
