I'd say it's VG at best.

I don't know how the man behind SGS can get away with what he does. He must be making a heck of a profit.

Seriously, this was MS70? I know SGS's reputation, but I haven't actual examples like this one before. MS70? Really SGS? Really? It's not even 70/100.

Perhaps MS70 means something different to SGS.

I believe that vermontensium is pulling our collective leg on the SGS MS70 grade.

That said ... I do know a bit about circulated classic commemorative and call this example MS68+.

Geepers ... what was SGS thinking?

David

OK ... how about VG8.

Compare to my AG3 example below ... vermontensium coin has a long ways to go before it is worn out.

I'm the CEO of SGS and I just wanted to say that I'm disappointed in the grading skills of you all.

That coin is most definitely MS75, duh!

Ok here this is funny as well. Found it on there home page.

On April 10, 2007, Star Grading Services was requested to submit a proposal for
exclusive grading services for the American Numismatic Association. While we do
not currently have the resources to do this, we viewed the request as a wonderful
recognition of our growing popularity and market acceptance.

Ok this my be a cousin of a cousins brother-in- law string pull here. Nepatism
