If they have a half million dollar portfolio, it has to double for them to make $500,000. If they can find 10,000 suckers to pay them $50 for their advice, the same profit is guaranteed.

If you wear sunglasses with true/real UV protection, you can see the splotches of silver in the car rear window defrosters. I notice it more on rear windows that have more tilt. I see prices settling currently. I knew it was going to take another run last time so I see doubt in another if we drop below 30 and stay there for a while, don't even ask me why. I was surprised the run back to 34 lasted as long as it did. Could we return to Oct. 10 through Jan. 11 prices again quite soon? It may take some time, we've been basically stuck around 32 since late September except for the 34 run that lasted less than three weeks.

Well my daughter saw them but didn't have her phone with her but the next time she did and she says they work. Well I think I will be turning off the phoe soon. Now they will be tracking in some malls if your phone is on. Of course just like the body scanners nothing is kept!
Rest in Peace

If I charge you $50 for advice and my advice allows you to make $20,000 a year on a $100,000 portfolio, how am I a crook?

you're a crook because the $50 you charge is guaranteed and the $20,000 in profit per year is not.

Just like doctors who don't guarantee their work, I guess.

To anyone who is looking for guarantees in this life... death and taxes are about the only ones. Pretty much everything else is conditional.

As to people who charge for advice... this is called FREE ENTERPRISE. No one is holding a gun to their heads and forcing them to send in their $50.

Besides, it is THEIR $50 and they can spend it any way they wish. Anyone who does not wish to send in their $50 is similarly encouraged to enjoy the same freedom to do as they see fit. Just sayin'.

I agree with Ed on that one as well. We all have a plan for the future for the most part, and if some feel that money spent on financial advice will get them to their goal faster than I, more power to them....

Exactly so, Hawk. We all recognize that there are a lot of crooks out there and they are selling everything under the sun. Fortunately, with the Internet available to most folks, finding out if an outfit is crooked is not that difficult any more. Just Google their name and the word "scam". If they are not legit, you will find a ton of comments from people who feel that they have been cheated. Most of those places are probably best avoided.
