1837 Reeded Edge Half Dollars Not sure of the variety as my Overton book ends at 1836. I found the Haseltine book digitized by Google but it didn't help. I also found a link to Jules Reiver's book that is somewhere on the Heritage web site but it was a broken link. Does anyone have a link that works? This one was described as JR-22 R7 by the seller.

My 1838 is the best one of my bust halves. Too bad the photo does not give her the justice she deserves.

I LOVE the reeded Busties! I'm sorry I missed a day! My hotel didn't have internet so I have to make up my lost day! 1837 Capped Bust Half Dollar (JR-2a, R6) 1838 Capped Bust half dollar (JR-2, R5) And one other 1836 CBH that somehow slipped through unposted! 1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar (O-104, R3)

Thank you Sir! I believe the O is a JR-1, which is the most common (95% of all 1839 O's are JR-1), but I'm pretty bad at attributing the Reeded Busties... so this could be wrong.

No idea about the variety, just the grade: NGC AU-58. Cleaned at one point but not noted as such on the holder.

Jaobler! Another STUNNER! Nice! The die cracks on the obverse lend me to think your coin is also a JR-1, same as mine.

Excuuuuuuuuuuse Me Moe for posting my 1795 - I know this is for Bust Halves - this young lady just hadn't developed hers yet Call me a show-off but given half the chance, I'll put her out for our viewing pleasure. O-117a . . R.4
