t360 Pillar of the Community United States 2703 Posts	Posted 01/07/2012 3:11 pm I bought an 1852 large cent just before Thanksgiving and then got busy with the holiday season and didn't take it out. The scans don't show the remaining luster and the color is not close to its true color at all. So I also tried my new USB microscope, which is better but makes it appear a little too red. mysilveryears Pillar of the Community United States 1888 Posts	Posted 01/07/2012 4:30 pm You can use a quick&easy image editing program like Irfanview to adjust the color and appearance back to normal. My shots never come out looking exactly like the coin until I fiddle with them. Report this Post to the Staff
