The reverse dies were changed several times over before the obverse dies were changed. Hence, the reverse is almost always better than the obverse. Furthermore, the coins are dropped into the bags 'face-down' and hence the obverse will almost always have far more bag-marks than the reverse. So, having a blazing and clean reverse can be 'expected'. Do not get fooled by anyone telling you otherwise. So this notion of possibly receiving a higher grade just because of the reverse for having a blazing reverse is false. Report this Post to the Staff
