Slabaugh wrote a small book (50 pages) on the subject: 'Japanese Invasion Money', (publ. by Hewit's numismatic information series), and pictured most, if not all of the notes. I have TONS (perhaps 1000 notes or so) of extra peso and centavo notes from the Philippines. I have been collecting it for about a year or so now, trying to finish all the block numbers/letters. The book I use is World War II Military Currency by C. Frederick Schwan and Joseph E. Boling. I've never heard of any clubs. I think it would be pretty exclusive because there aren't many of us.
