Pulled this one from a $50 bag yesterday. The bag had only produced a couple of hole fillers for my Grandson's albums up to the point I found this, so made my day! This is the 2nd one I've found since July of this year, and needless to say I am on cloud 9! Sending it to Bob Piazza to see if he can match the die pairing, or if it's a new discovery piece. I spent over an hour attempting to match it with no luck, so keeping my fingers crossed!

##Edit## added pics of obverse and reverse. I had to crop them a little to get them to work, but hopefully you can get the overall condition by what I've posted. My first one of these graded at MS63 BRN. Hoping this one grades out close to that one!

Isn't the 88D the best one. You have 2 of them. How about leaving some for the rest of us! OK, congrats.

Your second since July!

I've found at least 6- 1988P- RDV-006's but I'm still looking for my first 88D RDV-006.

Congrats on a great find!

Numismo, yes, this is the rarer of the two RDV-006 1988s. There are 10 "known" die pairings to date of this "D" coin. The one I found previously was a discovery piece listed as CTRD-008 & WTRD-009 on Crawford's and Wexler's listings. I never thought I'd pull another one of these, and am still in awe of the whole thing! I search at least 7,500 to 10,000 cents a week, so if my math is correct, that's one per 80,000 since I've started searching cents in late July. As they saying goes "they are still out there"! Thanks, Bill

Big congrats on your second find . I found my one and only earlier this year and what an adrenaline rush right . Another CCF member found one at the same time I found mine and sold it for $135 I think, sorry I forgot who the member is. I think mine is in a little better condition then his was so it should be worth a bit more. How about a full coin shot of both sides?
