What's rarer is the Engelhard gold prospector rounds. The gold ones used to come in assayed cards too. That, is not seen much these days. Report this Post to the Staff

As another member mentioned, 1985 was the only year they made fractional silver prospector rounds. Collecting a fractional prospector set has collector value. 1983, then 1986 & 1987 are the years to snag if you're into the 1 oz rounds and want add extra collector value/story. Most of my dealers (I would think the majority) don't care about the year of a prospector. They sell them to me for the same price as any other prospector in stock.
