How rare would something like this be? I have never seen anything like it for sale. I have the coin from a die like this (Gaius and Lucius Caesar Reverse). Let me fantasize that my coin came from this particular die. Wow, figure the odds, eh?

Very rare. I have a site with over 35,000 julio claudian items, and only have 3 photos, One SC Augustan. Gaius and Lucius and A Tiberian tribute penny die. Very Rare!

Just think of how many coins where struck using that die. Where did you ever find that? I could only dream of owning an actual die.

I have read notes by numismatic writers that no dies of Roman or ancient Greek coins exist, because they were made of iron, and the detail has long since rusted away.

Obviously a museum piece.
Are there any dies like this one which are retained in a museum?
