A bit more light on the subject which explains a little more. The 2010 Loonie was a VANOC coin with the VANOC logo, in other words an official Olympic Games coin and the design is reviewed and approved by the IOC. The 2008 Loonie was a COC coin and not a Vancouver Games coin and the Olympic Rings are part of the COC logo. The same is true for the 2006 Loonie. So the error is consistent and lies with the engraving of the COC logo which the Mint must have carried from 2006 to 2008. But that does not explain why the 2004 was correct and the next two were not!
By the way I have a 2008 COC branded Loonie and it is the same a wert's

Probably not as they are VANOC coins and the problem seems to be the COC coins and they only did the Loonie and the Marks are different but let us know if you spot something :)

Ok, I am finally with the programme. There were TWO curling coins issued in 2007. One was PARALYMPIC. Those Games are run separately from the OLYMPIC Games and they have their own Mark thus the reason why that mark differs from the VANOC one. There is no connection between the two organizations other than the convenience of running the two Games back to back.
Sorry for the confusion o my side :)
