Since I am running a bit low on money to go coin roll hunting, I may cash in some of those silver certificates back at the same bank I got them from. If I do that, I know my teller will continue to hold onto them for me, and I can always pick them back up later. Most of all, I want to pick up that Series 1934 $50 bill.

To put this into perspective, if he had brought this stack to us in 1968, I'd have offered him $880 (condition unimportant) and advised him not to keep them.

Now, someone has lost 44 years of other potential profit from reinvesting the money, and has taken the time for pix, writing an ad, etc.

If they sold for the start asking price, they'd have gotten to keep about $563 of the $640 asking price.
