Hi Jacko & welcome to the forum. That's definitely a 'spew' roo, but some spew roos are also rabbits. I'm not sure if there's a bit of a Cud behind smallest roos ears or not. It appears to have some doubling along part of the backs of the 3 small roos.

What year is it?

Hello Nancy, and thankyou for the welcome.

This was a 1984 one. I thought it would be a 'spew' roo. I like the doubling, never had a coin with doubling before this one. So as you can imagine I am quite happy with it. Although I wish it was of a better grade. But I am sure we could all say that about some coins.

Thankyou Spedward, or should I call you Eddy?
I have a small flock of rabbits forming, I love them, especially the '98, bunny on the back, 'rabbit'. I think my other rabbit "Thumper" is getting jealous of the competition. =o)

I found my first rabbit ears today. I received it in my change after buying some sushi. Its a year 2000 in reasonable condition. I thought I was lucky just finding a year 2000 $1, which are pretty hard to find around here, but when I turned it over I couldn't believe my eyes. Its now in a 2x2 sitting in my album.

Well done Proko! 2000 $1's are few & far between these days, so to find a 2000 Rabbit is excellent! Is it your only Rabbit or do you have others that you 'acquired'?

I have to update my list again as I know I've got 3 x 2008 now & have found a couple others recently as well.

Nancy, I managed to acquire 2 x 2008 Rabbits on ebay for $10 each. I noticed that there wasn't much "talk" about them so I thought that they might be on the scarce side so I decided to snap them up just in case. I don't noodle $1's so my chances of finding Rabbits in my change are a little limited. $10 may have been too much to pay but condidering my chances of finding any I thought it was a fair price. So, in answer to your question I now have three!

I'd say $10 each for 2008 bunnies was a bargain. It's a bit too early to say how 'common' or 'scarce' they're going to be. If I hadn't found the ones I have, I'd be willing to pay $10 each for a couple.

Do the 2008 rabbits look really good since they are shiny and lustrous?

Put it this way, my 2008's are the best looking Rabbits I have as they were removed from circulation very early. I also have 1 x 2006 that is in excellent condition as it came from a security roll.

Most of my other Rabbits are well & truly dinged as I did not even know they existed till about 3 - 4 yrs ago when I finally got back into collecting after about a 25 - 30 yr break.

The 94 you gave me is pretty dinged, but I love it Now just waiting for its one family to join it Btw, I found a scouts dollar in circulation today I have not found any 2008 rabbits.... Thats cause I almost never see 2008 MOR dollars.. I have only seen like 2-3 so far. And one of them was in superb condition, but when I put it aside, I think someone must have taken it and gave it to the customer

This is the only rabbit I have. Her name is Jess. Cost a bit more than $10 though.

latman, Awwww...She's very pretty. Sort of makes all my 'Rabbits' look a tad mediocre.

If anyone reading this is interested in coins with doubling, I have some spare 2007 50¢ with extensive doubling on the Rev. If you want one, PM me your address & I'll send you one. I think it's probably the worst doubling I've ever seen on a coin.

Justa, That's the first Scouts $1 I've seen reported found so far, well done!
