notice in the first picture the faint serif in the bottom right of the mint mark. As well the mint mark looks totally repunched backwards. you can see the markings of the D punched into the straight arm of the original D mint mark
is this possible? or am I just trying too hard?

ok I know people are going to tell you this is PMD, but I see the backwards D is that even possible?

It has taken a hit from the east side of the mint mark and flattened the arc of the mint mark.
