Thanks for the kind words folks. Looking forward to seeing your pickup Bill. I know you've been diligently building your Michigan set.
For those who don't know PennyGuy, he was one of the winning exhibitors at the last B'more show. He put together a top notch first class exhibit on two-cent pieces.

Thanks CC My newest store card arrived today. Mason, MI is a small town about 30 minutes away from me. It is a single merchant town, this one is an R-9. Recovering from an old cleaning I;d give it a net VF grade.

When you said open season, for some reason all I could think about was when Elmer Fudd goes hunting for rabbits... Do you mean for you, or everybody else in general?

Got this one yesterday. Weak strike on the centers due to weak metal flow into the high relief areas of both sides. Still a bit of original luster in a few small areas. 2 of my favorite CWT designs on one coin - I just had to get it! I'm not sure what this is, but my grandfather told me it was from the civil war. no clue where or how we got this originally.

Aaron (CheetahCats), do you still own that NGC graded MS66BN Aschermann token (WI510A-1a)? I'm just curious, as I purchased an MS65RB NGC example in yesterday's Steve Hayden Auction. It seems the MS66BN example you have posted on NovaNumismatics is the highest graded example of that token, with three others graded MS65RB. I paid through the nose for the example in yesterday's auction (ex Steve Tanenbaum), but I haven't been able to find another example of this token to purchase in the AU or lower range that I found attractive for over 2 years. PS, great write up on the history of that token in December 2012!

This one is in the mail, but I couldn't wait to share it here. From the Steve Hayden auction on 6/2/13. In his auction notes Hayden noted: "MI525D-3b R8 AU But retoning from an old cleaning. W. Jaxon Jackson Hall, Jackson Michigan struck in Brass with Masonic reverse die 1387. Very rare variety and die combination, the only example we have seen offered of either the R8 Brass or the R9 Copper. Missing from the Tanenbaum collection and while he preferred Copper his overall goal was one of each die combination."
