Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6398 Posts	Posted 01/25/2012 02:21 am I think there is just enough friction in the fields and on the high points to keep it out of MS range. However, it's a beautiful AU-58 with smooth original surfaces, natural dark toning, and quite a strong strike. I'd bet it retains a lot of luster under the toning. It has more appeal than many BU coins that often show unattractive tone, bagmarks, or signs of improper cleaning. Overall, a very nice coin and a terrific legacy from your grandfather!
