The specs for the coin indicate it will be a standard issue $2.

While some may be concerned about the size, I do think the design is simple, and should be adequately functional on this coin.

I expect the coloured poppy to be the central element surrounded by concentric text acting as a background, with the text-based theme and denomination in larger text bordering the rim.

Potentially this coin could be released as early as April in time for Anzac Day, but could see release at any stage up until November.

I'm expecting circulation demand for the $2 to be in the vicinity of 20+ million this year, so do view this coin as a definite goer.

You can be pretty sure that the mint will garner substantial publicity for this circulation release, and I would suspect there would also be an event tie-in.
