It is certainly better than the first three coins in the series, two of them are poorly done. But it's a bullion coin aimed at that market so it doesn't matter much anyways.
I still like the 2004 5 dollar "The Majestic Moose". That coin retains it's title.
I do not like how the moose's rack is almost touching the A in Canada. For balance the $20 Polar Bear was well laid out especially when you consider the size differences. Some people like red and some people like blue... the classic Maple Leaf is still the "best" bullion coin though design wise.

I feel as though the coin needs a little more in the background. But of course thats not going to stop me from buying a tube.

Where to buy also depends on how you want to buy. What I mean, for example, if you live in or around Montreal, I would go in person to Kitco and just pay cash. No shipping fees and no minimum order.
If I lived in an area where mail-order is the only choice then I would keep my eyes open on multiple Canadian websites (assuming you live in Canada) and wait to see who has the best deal including shipping.

Silvergoldbull is a good place if you want to lock in at the current price. I dont' think my coin store allows me to do that, so I'd have to pay whatever spot may be in a months time.
If you're thinking of getting a tube its not too bad, as its only about another dollar/oz for the shipping. I only plan on buying 10 so its not exactly worth it. Plus I think we'll see a bit of a dip in March :P

I think these coins are available by feb 22nd. I think It's a nice coin and will be a nice addition to the canadian wildlife series. When they coming out with the beaver? :-)

haha, a beaver would be neat. RCM would have to make the beaver ferocious though, so it could stand beside a wolf, bear, big cat, and bigger moose. My bet's on some sort of aquatic animal. Pacific salmon, northern pike, whale, etc.

We're running out of big, iconic Canadian animals. I thought the series was going to stick with predatory ones, but the moose opens up possibilities. It's looking more and more like a Canadian big game series.
Based on that guess: Stag whitetail, Mountain goat from the Rockies, Musk Oxen by James Bay, Walrus in NWT, Or redoing another polar bear.

Grizzly bear is the best so far, followed by the wolf. The moose is good, though, don't get me wrong. I want to see the actual coin. There's not burnishing like the wolf has and too much empty field.

We have lots and lots and lots of pigeons in Montreal. Why not a pigeon coin? They can be really mean! :)
