Hello all, been awhile but need help with this one. Wondering if this maybe a new variety or mint error. In between the first and second bow loops, the space looks mirrored and not frosted. I looked at other proofs and that area is frosted. Thank you for the help.

Can you get a close up of the area in question?

Looks like a very light contact mark that may have rubbed the cameo off that area?

That area is just about at the same level as the field. It may have missed being frosted, or another possibility is that a polishing removed the frost in that area.

If it is the same height as the field, it should be missing the cameo. Dies were frosted and then polished the fields. They should look like that. That is normal.

Hello all, the other proofs I have show this area frosted. They look like the 2nd bow loop space next to the hair.

Hello all, so what is normal on proofs frosted or mirrored in that area. I have silver and ms proofs and those are frosted. Thank you for the help.
