With two small children, there is always something needed from the grocery store. Even at 11pm on a Saturday, thanks to my daughters attempt at potty training, and her obsession with wadding up toilet paper, it was off to the Wal-mart Grocery store.

I was excited when I was given three crisp, perhaps (although not technically) uncirculated perfect condition dollar bills. I quickly noticed that three bills had consecutive serial numbers.

It was not until I got into my car that I thought that I should get more of them! I ended up getting sixteen more perfect condition consecutive serials, although not bridged to the first three.

Still the best part about the trip to Wal-mart on a Saturday!

That's pretty cool. What year are the dollar bills, and will you post pictures?

AS Dan had said, what year are the bills from and what is the range of the serial #? Are there any fancy serial #? We want Pictures. Either way if they got you excited then it was a good find. To me that is my favorite part of collecting. Finding something new that you don't already have.

Sure - might be a few days before I can get to it. (Have two little ones, getting on here is a luxury). They were from 09, which kinda surprised me. Goes to show they really are printing too much money.

2009 is really only the series these bills are from not the actual year they are printed in. According to USpapermoney info. The latest F block from the 2009 series was printed in August of 2011. They only change the series year if there is a change in design or names of the treasure or secretary of the treasure changes.

There might be other reason for the change but I believe those are the most common.
