Found this beauty in change today. Not really keen on grading Jefferson's so what is everyone's opinion? My guess would be XF.

Very nice find.

XF45 IMHO. The base of the triangle above Monticello on the reverse does not appear to be complete ... but I could be fooled by the awkward angle at which the photos were taken.

Always best to shoot photos of coins straight down.

Nice find.

I always try to grade conservatively, and read the Whitman's grading recommendations quite literally, with an eye towards a stricter reading whilst preserving the spirit of the law...NOT that I have memorized it by any stretch of the imagination!
That being said, hair is a big deal to me, and for me, that hair is more than "slightly worn"....the lines in it should be more defined....
Besides, I would rather have a really really nice XF than a mediocre AU! Is anybody else bothered by the large bagmark (ding?) on Jefferson's lapel besides me?

That is the first thing I noticed before I even saw the date.

Thanks for the input and I am glad to see that I was accurate on the grade.

Will be putting this in my "found in change" book for sure.
