It's the even rarer 4 over 5 variety.

Just been through my "rare" counter stamped collection neatly stored in my PMD pile and found a 0,2,2,3,6,6,7,and an E. I wonder if I should try and make a clock out of these coins? Never know it could be worth about 12 bucks if I get all 12 numbers.

I wonder if the numerals in your vast collection of "counter stamped" coins come from the same punch, or if they vary in size and font type, "The Coin Hunter" ?. Good luck in finding the remaining numbers. If I find another "number 4", I will forward it to you if you like ! Squire

Hi Squire, Looks like they all are of different size and font so not the same punch. Thanks for the offer of the 4 but I think my clock may have trouble getting the 10, 11 and 12 so I think my clock may be doomed from the start. TCH

I have a full set of number and letter punches (even different sizes). They have never been used on a coin. But, always time to start. Ask for your overstamps now -any number or letter combination as long as it fits! Common coins I will supply; sovereigns, commemorative florins etc. you will have to send to me with a note of what you want. Jeff PS. you don't think I would really do it do you

Hey, that's not bad - a coin with your name on it...best not let the RAM find out about this...bad enough already with all the mintmarks/privymarks we have to buy; they could make a squillion selling named coins Someone reckons the 2 stamp may be worth something: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Australian-...t_855wt_1149

That 2 must be worth more because it's been double stamped.

Did $400 of 5c today. First $200 uncovered 6x 1972, two with grease filled obverses and one 1951PL sixpence. The second $200 uncovered nothing Strange how it can work

I dont think I'm as methodical as you are nancy. Mine alk get flipped obvere up. All the old busts are picked out and put aside. A quick glance at those remaining for obvious errors and then a quick check of the old busts for 1972. That takes about 35 minutes per $100 that way.
I hold no hope of finding a double headed 2007 so dont bother flipping them all to the reverse as well.
