Quote: Nice peel there! Thanks nancy - surprisingly my first such find, at least until I determine just what the 1966 20c piece I found earlier in the day might be...

Just found my first 1966 20c wavy this afternoon, was pretty stoked, Just need the 2000 $1 mule , also I bought a 6pence that came with a 1962 penny for $2, (no attention was given to the penny, until I knocked it over and it landed face side) could'nt belevie my lucky 9 O'clock rotation.

... my luck in finding Australian variety / error coins has not been all too good lately. Perhaps because I have spent quite a bit of time overseas during October and November. But last weekend I found two "not so common" coins in my change. A "large head" 2004 20 cent piece and the 1995 United Nations coin of the same denomination (pic below). Actually, in my one and a half years of noodling I have found only three coins of each of the above. This compares with 1 wavy 20 cent and 2 millennium incuse 50 cents. So according to my experience the coins I have found this weekend are not so common. Squire

Not exactly noodling but, for me, the find of the week. 19 x $2 and 33 x $1 cashed in at the bank. Mostly around VF but some better (and, of course, some not as good). Quite a lot of signature combinations. I have had a quick look through and sorted them in serial order; consecutive pair but no radars or repeaters -some tantalisingly close. Jeff
