the treasurer received a 1984 dollar with backpack Cud.! Common or unusual.!!

Hmmm, They are common with rabbit ears, pretty unusual with back pack. Can't say I've ever seen one.

I'll have to keep a lookout for one like yours. Nice find!

After a busy weekend and with and extra hour courtesy of the end of Victorian Daylight Savings, I visited my favorite cafe yesterday evening.

The joint was very lively, which is always a great sign. I really enjoy working through my class lectures etc. in a busy cafe !. Even better was the change the Bariste handed me (see picture attached below).

My "Incuse Millennium 50 cent"coin number 4. What a buzz, and not just from the caffeine !

You were soy lucky, visiting the Cafe so latte in the evening. I reckon the espresso on your face would have said it all.
Well done Squire!

... yes my "espresso" was a bit "stunned". I am sooo used to turning over year 2000 50 cent coins and finding the flat flag staring me in the face

The 2000 50 cent coin from last night looked subtly different in the cozy light of the cafe. Then my vision focused and the adrenaline and caffeine kicked in....

Had a littke noodle yesterday afternoon. 5c, 10c and 20c. Not a single error, not even a 10c Cud in $200 worth! usually I get at least one tail feather Cud. Otherwise it wasnt too bad, 1x 1972 5c, 3x 1985 10c, 8x 2011 10c and 3x 2001 fed 20c 1x 2004 20c.

.. a 1972 5 cent piece is a nice find enworb. Was it in reasonable condition ?.
I thought 2011 10 cent pieces were hard to come by, but you have found 8 .

After my find at the cafe last night I noodled through 20 dollars worth of 20 cent coins. Trying to "ride" my good luck .
Not much of a ride. One 1981 Canadian 3.5 claw in reasonable condition. One 2003 "Commemorating Volunteers" coin. The "ups and downs" of nooding ...

The 2011 is fairly hard. 8 from $200 and theyve only been about for a year or so. I reckon theyll be very difficult soon so I'm going to try and get as many as possible. Have about 20 now but it would be nice to get 100.

Some very unusual finds in todays noodling:

3 x US State Quarters in one bag of 10c pieces
Kiwiland $2 coin in a bag of dollars
1984 well circulated proof dollar
2009 rabbit ears in excellent condition
and a "guess the year" coin that I'll post a photo of later

No 2013's seen up this way yet...

... hi FNQ
Looks like the US State Quarters are quite frequent "impostors" in our change. I have found two within the $1 rolls obtained from various banks. Pic attached below. I think the Tennessee quarter is pretty "cool" .

... the "roller coaster" ride of noodling !.

Yesterday evening I noodled through $100 dollars of $1 coins and $50 of 50 cent coins.
Came up with a very nice, near-uncirculated 1992 Barcelona Olympic 1 dollar coin - pic attached below.

Then examined the 50 cent coins. ALL of them were 2012 coins. All the same ....
