A couple of Mint Set Only coins in today's noodling lot. 1992 50 cent - second one I've found this week 2007 MOR dollar - may have come from a PNC

I found the following in money that I was banking today:
- $10 AA02 987023
- $10 AA03 003079
- $20 JC07 351881
- $50 AA04 106501
- $100 CS96 959689
- $100 AA10 417444
I kept the the low serial $10 & obviously the CS96 which I pictured below. I took the photo on my phone, I rolled/bent it a bit so you could see it properly. It's in decent condition given the over-circulation of test notes. Two major creases & a few minors, great colour, great rims, overall nice...a pity it wasn't an AN96, I'm still looking to upgrade mine, then again, it came from takings, so I probably can't really ask for much more.

I love lamination flaws/cracks. They give coins so much character. I actually prefer (in decimal coins) them over Cuds & die cracks. Although a scarce Cud is always nice to look at.

Nice finds, goatie and fuddster Found a lamination split very early in my noodling, but not found one since. Once the mint went to the Korean blanks, this type of error hasn't shown up much, yes? Just on the older dates? Mine is on a 1981 20c Would love to noodle banknotes as well as coins, but the amount of float needed to gather and look through a decent sample size is a bit beyond me - 'specially 50's and 100's. - I could keep 100 dollar coins for that one C note you've snagged there, goatie Gee, I hardly see the green ones at all.....

Went through $400 of 20ยข and found much the usual...a few Centenary of Federation, a Bradman, a UN, a bighead 2004 and a gap 2008 as well as a couple of decent earlier year platypus reverse. Plus these, 1972 with "cartwheel" lustre (but I can't get that to photograph) and a florin. Wouldn't be many pre-decimal circulating now. And this little beauty... Happy noodling, Jeff

Quote: Love the 72 and the rotated!! Grrr...grrr.....grrrrrrrr.. Seriously, a couple of great pickups. Very hard to get any early 70s twenties in anywhere decent cond. - that one is exceptional. The rotated 20 is the cherry - at least it gives me hope that some are still about in circ.

Hi Robster, I think reasonably hard to come by, in fact I'm pretty sure I don't even have one (must check). If the Treasurer permits ....
