Went to a site and it seems to be 002 type. Would this warrant
slabbing?---John

Problem is, with that corrosion neither PCGS nor NGC would put it in a holder. I would recommend just keeping it as it is. I do agree that it is DDO #002.

Ummmm. ok. So now I have to go back through all the 60's to 70's pennies I culled out from bank boxes and look again....lol. I was only sorting for copper and years first. I have found that it is a several step process on sorting bank boxes of anything. Maybe I'll find it now that I have my magnifier.

Congrats on your find!

I always concetrated on the date when look at 72-P LMC...I wonder how many of these slipped through my hands over the years. That is nice doubling on the motto!
