ship of fools New Member Canada 35 Posts	Posted 02/11/2012 10:46 am Lately I have been seeing ebay items selling for much higher prices that are ICCS cased, they are treating them as if they were clam shell case pricing does that sound right. Are ICCS platic holders considered to be MS-65/ with a C underneath or are they considered MS-65/ with a NC underneath. thanks everybody.ship Report this Post to the Staff

canuck1us Pillar of the Community United States 1002 Posts	Posted 02/11/2012 11:06 am The casing doesn't have to do with the "C" or "NC" designation. A "C" means the coin was produced for circulation and an "NC" means it was produced for non-circulation. You could have 2 similar coins in an ICCS flip - one that came from a roll with a "C" designation and one that was cut out of a set with a "NC" designation. The coin itself is what affects the number of the grade. There may be several otherwise identical non-circulating coins that once taken out of their original casing may get assigned different grading numbers. The higher the number - generally the higher the price. A coin still in its original packaging is not graded and although it is MS, or PR or PL - the number is not known, therefore its price is likely going to reflect the lowest possible grade.
