Interesting. I wonder what a penny would weigh if it got shaved down to the size of a dime and coated with something silvery. The real test here would be to see if it was the same thickness as a dime. That picture is suspiciously missing.

Ya know...I think that's the sort of thing that I would only buy if it was slabbed.

An image of the edge would be real helpful for this coin. That would show the copper layer on that clad edge. Looks real to me. 25 bids so far and many days to go.

It looks good to me but it is not a cent struck on a dime, it is a cent struck on a dime planchet. Big difference.

A cent cut down to dime size and silvered would weigh 2.9 grams.
