Well, looks pretty good to me. But I wouldn't buy it unless it was slabbed, or I saw more than one die marker. Looks like the coin has been cleaned.

Diagnostics are all right but something gives me a hinky feeling about it. If it is real it is not an Unc like the seller says, and it has been harshly polished. The hinky feeling could be coming from the polishing.

Artificially toned using chemicals or heat, and polished, but the diagnostics from the photos look genuine, I'd still want a guarantee from a TPG, there are so many good dealers that have multiples of this coin, that it shouldn't be an issue if you really want a nice MS one, to find pretty quickly, Jack Beymer usually keeps a dozen or so on hand, so does Larry Briggs, there are many dealers I would have no problem buying a really rare coin from Raw and sight unseen, with their guarantee, but not off ebay.

David Lawrence has a MS61 up right now, big price difference too, though I realize the auction is not over. [eBayItem]170783882263[/eBayItem]

I agree with Conder. Something's not right about that coin and it has been harshly polished (with a buffer or something).

That said, and to be fair, the seller has moved some serious value coins with success and good reviews.

If I were buying or selling that coin, a closer up of the missing leg would be imperative...and, short of that, TPG'd.

I've added it to my watch list...it's at $345 with two days to go.
